• ·AMANDA PRYNNE (female, playing age 30–45) — Charming, witty, impulsive, and fiercely independent. Sharp-tongued and passionate. Her volatile relationship with Elyot drives the play.
• ·ELYOT CHASE (male, playing age 30–45) — Handsome, charismatic, and quick-witted. Sophisticated but prone to jealousy and emotional outbursts. Deeply drawn to Amanda.
• ·SIBYL CHASE (female, playing age 20–35) — Elyot's new wife. Attractive, refined, and somewhat naïve — but gradually reveals a stronger, more assertive side.
• ·VICTOR PRYNNE (male, playing age 30–50) — Amanda's new husband. Practical, dependable, and conventional. Struggles to understand the passionate nature of Amanda and Elyot. Solid comic role.
• ·LOUISE (female, playing age 30–60) — A French maid. Efficient, observant, and quietly humorous. Smaller role providing comic relief as an amused witness to the chaos.
