Casting open to all performers 18 and older. All races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, body types, and physical capabilities strongly encouraged to audition.
- ·SIDNEY BRUHL (male presenting, mid-40s–60s) — Once-acclaimed author in a creative drought. Smart, charming, extremely ambitious. Will do almost anything to get what he wants.
- ·CLIFFORD ANDERSON (male presenting, 20s–30s) — Talented young writer with a bright future. Clever, can slip on fronts of innocence that belie his darker ambitions.
- ·MYRA BRUHL (female presenting, mid-40s–60s) — Sidney's loving, supportive wife. Kind and calming, but firm when needed.
- ·HELGA TEN DORP (female presenting, 30+, Dutch accent) — Celebrity psychic who loves her fame. Free-spirited and not easily intimidated.
- ·PORTER MILGRIM (male presenting, 30+) — Sidney's friend and attorney. Sharp, observant, distrustful of Clifford.
